Exploring my own city with a stranger!

I was born in this beautiful city several years back. From then till now I have visited every corner of this growing city. Tall scrapers and malls, new cafés and pubs but most of all the density of population and the thickness of pollution has increased. Simply, this city has changed a lot from back then till now, yet the way I connect with this city hasn’t changed a bit.

This city is my drug. Here the weather is as mercurial as my mind. And the people who come here don’t leave this place mainly for the pleasant weather, especially the unpredictable rains.

Recently I met a stranger! And suddenly everything changed. I took this person around the town, to the same old places but this time it was different.

We started early but we met only after two hours, thanks to the traffic! Soon we rushed to a café to grab a bite. Trust me, masala dosas are much better than these English breakfasts. From there we roamed around the city on my bike. It poured lightly every now and then. By noon we were tired roaming and we just wanted to sit down in a peaceful place. We entered a huge lush green garden with tall trees and beautiful flowers. We walked along the path talking about life. Then we climbed a small hill and sat on the top to see the blissful view of the city. Suddenly strong winds hit our faces and pushed our hair back and the puffy clouds broke down. We sat there in silence for few minutes. In no time we were the only two crazy humans sitting on the hill getting drenched. My friend said, “This is the first time that I am doing something so stupid but I love it!” .That was the exact moment when I realized that I am not addicted to this city but I have fallen in love with Bengaluru.

PS: This is Bengaluru and this is my ooru!
